Trouble With Bubbles

Everything was going great for picture day until it came time to take the picture of Drew in a large metal basin.  We undressed him down to his diaper and placed him in the basin, a very large rubber duck was placed outside the basin.   Well he wasn’t having this he wanted out.  Notice the foot he was already on the climb, so no smile in these pictures, but I do like the effects of the bubbles.

Spring Cleaning

Yes! Even though there is still a chill in the air on those sunny days I crack the window open and let the air circulate the rooms. I am hoping it inspires me to get busy with the spring cleaning.

I look forward to the flowers blooming and the leaves starting on the trees, I see some buds forming but I am impatient this year and want it now. My grandson is one year old, I enjoy walking with him to the park and I think he will enjoy it so much more now that he can experience more.

I also look forward to him being at my house where he will be in different surroundings with different experiences, all is a learning process for him and I love it. It is so much fun when you see he gets it!

Drews First kiss (last year)
I have a lot to look forward to, and need to get back to doing some of the things that I so enjoy, I want to work on my jewelry, scrapbooks and cards. It will be so much easier to do that at home where when he is napping I can go off to another room to work. There are so many small parts that if I drop one he has radar and will seek it out to put in his mouth. This way I can close a door and he won’t have access.

I have also turned my house over to natural products, all of my cleaning products are natural and I am surprised they work better then the ones I was using. With my grandson around I want to make sure that he is in a healthy environment, but I have found that there are no unpleasant odors when I use them to clean. I would recommend them for everybody.

Family

Family is important and this summer I enjoyed seeing my cousins that for some reason through the years contact was lost. Getting together was fun and the reminiscing of times gone by was enjoyable.

As I looked around at all of us I can truly say we all got a bit older but none of us changed inside, we still laughed and enjoyed each others company. How sad there was time missed in the years we had let slip by, then I realized it was only time that was lost not our feelings of family affection.

Little ones have grown and new ones have entered each others life, and so the cycle begins again.

Hopefully they will not loose touch with each other as we had done and can grasp onto the branch that becomes the family tree.

Life Starts Anew

Spring has arrived and life starts anew, and I am happy to announce that we have a new addition to our family; Drew was due in April, but arrived on March 28th. I am looking forward to watching him grow and discover all the new things that surround him. Right now his main interest is eating and sleeping

Valentine's Day

To my love, I give a token, to show how much I care.
To my love, I give my heart and all my soul to bare.
To my love, I am just hoping your love you’ll want to share.

With Valentines Day coming up rather fast you can’t help wonder what to get that special someone. With talk of health and diets, it might not be so wise to offer that box of chocolate. Hmmm….I’ll will never turn away a box of chocolate, I am reading that chocolate is good for you, and we all want what is good for us.

I feel a bit guilty because it seems females do much better on this holiday then the men do, okay I don’t feel that bad. I will admit I always loves those red paper hearts surrounded by that white paper lace that we made when we where kids. Those school projects might account for my craft hobbies.

I love crafting and will try most things, some of my favorites are jewelry making along with scrap booking and I make my own embellishments. I am always amazed to see what talents are out there taking place in someone’s kitchen. The human imagination is endless when it is set free.

It is said that there is no greater gift in life then love…I disagree I think it might be compassion.

On A Cold Winter Day

On a cold winter day I went with my sister to visit the town dock. It was freezing out but I had my camera and ready to take pictures. I had never really used this camera before, my son gave it to me and unfortunately he didn’t know where the instructions were on how the camera works.

I love to take pictures and always carry a Kodak digital that fits nicely into
my purse and the only thing you have to do is press a button and the picture is taken. This camera was a new experience with more things to use to focus with and with finger tips freezing I stood on the windy dock taking pictures.

My sister was a good sport and stood out in the freezing wind with me, until she gave me that look, you know the one, where she knows you’re crazy and now she doubts

her own sanity. Anyway we both got back in the car and
looked at the camera to see if we could see how the pics came out but because it is an older digital the screen isn’t too big. I decided the only way to tell how the pictures come out was to wait till I got home.

Well I have to say I love the pictures.
